How to Wash a Beauty Blender

Beauty Blender creates on social media, and now we’re dying to know how to clean it and take care of it!

The first thing you want to do is make sure the Beauty Blender is completely dry before putting it away for storage. This will help keep bacteria at bay which could lead to breakouts or other skin problems. When washing the Beauty Blender, opt for a gentle soap without any abrasive ingredients like exfoliants. The best soap would be something gentle like Dove soap, baby shampoo or a gentle dish liquid. Rinse the Beauty Blender with warm water until there is no sign of any dirt left in the blender itself. Be careful not to get too close to the tip of the blender because this can cause more damage when washing it because this is where most of your makeup resides on your beauty blender brush.

Once your Beauty Blender has been washed and rinsed, you may use a clean towel or paper towel (only if they are new!) to gently pat dry your sponge. This will help make sure that there are no traces of water left behind in case you need to use it again after drying it off! Another thing that you may want to do with your newly cleaned Beauty Blender is pop in a couple fresh baking soda tablets every so often after using your sponge for a bit. This can help restore its original shape, bounce and density so that you don’t end up wasting money by purchasing new ones!
