Copenhagen Fashion Week

The first day of Copenhagen Fashion Week started with a show from Danish label Mark Kenly Domino Tan. The collection was inspired by the work of British artist David Hockney and featured a range of pastel-hued tailoring, floaty dresses and oversized coats. It was a strong start to the week and set the tone for what is sure to be an exciting few days of fashion.

Next up was Norwegian label Holzweiler, who showcased their SS23 collection in an open-air show at the Copenhagen harbour. The collection was inspired by the work of American artist Cy Twombly and featured a range of colourful, abstract prints. The pieces were all made from sustainable materials, such as recycled wool and organic cotton, and the show was live-streamed on the brand’s website.

After Holzweiler, we saw a presentation from Danish label Baum und Pferdgarten. The collection was inspired by the work of German artist Gerhard Richter and featured a range of muted tones and geometric prints. Again, all of the pieces were made from sustainable materials, such as recycled wool and organic cotton, and the show was live-streamed on the brand’s website.

The final show of the day was from Swedish label Acne Studios. The collection was inspired by the work of American artist Richard Prince and featured a range of denim pieces and oversized outerwear. The show was closed with a performance from Danish musician MØ, who performed her song ‘Final Song’ live on stage.
