Clean beauty, IV drips & more trends that will take over the beauty world

We saw the rise of clean beauty, with more and more brands ditching harmful chemicals and artificial ingredients in favour of natural and organic alternatives. We also got on board with the latest skincare trends, from face cupping to jade rolling.

And it looks like 2023 is going to be just as good, if not better, for beauty lovers. Here are the top trends that we think will take over the beauty world this year:
1. Clean beauty
We’re starting with a trend that’s already taking over the industry – clean beauty. More and more brands are ditching harmful chemicals and artificial ingredients in favour of natural and organic alternatives. This is great news for our skin, which will thank us for using products that are kinder to it.

2. CBD skincare
CBD oil is having a moment right now, thanks to its purported health benefits. And it’s not just being used in food and supplements – it’s also making its way into skincare products. CBD oil is said to be beneficial for the skin, helping to reduce inflammation and redness. We can’t wait to try out some CBD skincare products this year!

3. Probiotic skincare
Probiotics are usually associated with gut health, but they can also be good for your skin. Probiotic skincare products contain live bacteria that can help to balance the microbiome of your skin, resulting in clearer, healthier skin. We’re excited to see more probiotic skincare products hitting the shelves this year!

4. Natural deodorants

We’re all becoming more aware of the importance of using natural products on our skin, so it makes sense that we would want to use natural deodorants too. Natural deodorants don’t contain aluminium or other harsh chemicals, making them much gentler on the skin (and better for your health!). There are plenty of great natural deodorants on the market now, so there’s no excuse not to make the switch!

5. Green beauty

Green beauty is another trend that’s been gaining momentum in recent years, and we think it’s here to stay. Green beauty products are made from sustainable and environmentally friendly ingredients, and they often come in recyclable packaging too. We love green beauty products because they’re good for us AND the planet!

6. NARS Velvet Matte

The new NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencils are a great buy. The colours are long lasting and they’re easy to apply. You can also use them as an eyeshadow, or to line your lips.

7. MILK MAKEUP’s Matcha Toner

MILK MAKEUP’s Matcha Toner is perfect for refreshing your skin after a long day in the sun. It contains matcha green tea extract, which has anti-inflammatory properties, and will give you a natural glow.

8. Aesop Geranium Leaf Body Scrub

If you’re looking for a natural look, try our favourite from Aesop’s new range of skin care products: Pomegranate Firming Mask with Camellia Oil and Sweet Almond Oil is rich in antioxidants that will help keep your skin healthy and youthful looking.

9. OPI Nail Lacquer, We the Female, Red Nail Polish

Nail polishes have been popular this year – we love OPI’s new We the female collection which only women have the right to wear, has some great colours like their earlier “Matte About You” shade.
