5 Skin-Improving Tricks to Include in Your Beauty Routine

As anyone who’s ever had a pimple (or seven) knows, taking care of your skin is a lifelong commitment that requires both time and effort. So, how do you get that flawless complexion?

Here are five skin-improving tricks to include in your beauty routine:

1. Exfoliate regularly

One of the most important things you can do for your skin is to exfoliate regularly. This will help to remove dead skin cells, which can clog pores and lead to breakouts. It will also help to brighten your complexion and give you a more youthful appearance. There are many different ways to exfoliate, so find one that works best for you and stick with it. You can use a physical exfoliator (like a scrub), chemical exfoliator (like an AHA or BHA), or enzymatic exfoliator (like papaya enzymes). Just be sure not to overdo it, as this can irritate the skin and cause more problems than it solves.

2. Use sunscreen every day

Another important step in taking care of your skin is to use sunscreen every day, even if you’re not planning on spending time in the sun. Ultraviolet (UV) rays from the sun can damage the skin, causing premature aging and increasing your risk of skin cancer. So, make sure to apply sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 every morning before you leave the house, even if it’s just for errands. And don’t forget to reapply if you’re going to be outside for an extended period of time!

3. Moisturize daily

Keeping your skin hydrated is key to maintaining a healthy complexion. When the skin is properly moisturized, it looks plumper and younger. Fine lines and wrinkles are also less visible when the skin is hydrated. So make sure to moisturize daily, using a product that’s appropriate for your skin type. If you have dry skin, look for a moisturizer that contains hyaluronic acid or glycerin; if you have oily skin, look for one that’s oil-free; and if you have sensitive skin, look for one that’s fragrance-free and hypoallergenic.

4. Don’t forget care for your eyes

The delicate area around our eyes often gets neglected when it comes to skincare routines. But taking care of this area is important because the skin here is thinner than elsewhere on our face and therefore more susceptible to damage from UV rays and other environmental factors like pollution.

So make sure to include an eye cream in your beauty routine! Look for one that contains ingredients like retinol or caffeine, which can help reduce puffiness and dark circles over time. Apply it gently with your ring finger (which puts less pressure on delicate eye tissue) using small patting motions until it’s fully absorbed into the skin around your eyes.
