What is electrolysis?
Electrolysis is a method of hair removal that uses electrical current to destroy the hair follicle. This means that the hair can no longer grow back, making it a permanent solution to unwanted hair growth. Although it was first developed in the late 1800s, modern electrolysis treatments are much more comfortable and effective, thanks to advances in technology.
How does electrolysis work?
During an electrolysis treatment, a small needle is inserted into the hair follicle. A low level of electrical current is then passed through the needle, which destroys the follicle and prevents future hair growth. Most people feel a slight tingling sensation during treatment, but this is usually not painful. Depending on the size of the area being treated, your session may last anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour.
Why book an electrolysis treatment?
There are many reasons why you might want to consider booking an electrolysis treatment. Perhaps you’re fed up with having to shave or wax regularly, or maybe you’re looking for a way to get rid of those pesky ingrown hairs. Electrolysis can also be used to treat larger areas of unwanted hair growth, such as on the face or back. Whatever your reason for considering electrolysis, there are many benefits to be enjoyed…
-Permanent hair removal: One of the biggest advantages of electrolysis over other methods of hair removal is that it offers permanent results. Once your follicles have been destroyed, they will never grow back – meaning you can say goodbye to regular shaving or waxing appointments!
-Precision: Another advantage of electrolysis over other methods of hair removal is its precision. The electrical current targets each individual follicle, so there’s no risk of damaging surrounding skin tissue. This makes it ideal for treating small areas with delicate skin, such as around the eyes or mouth.
-Safe and gentle: Unlike some other methods of hair removal (such as laser), electrolysis is safe for all skin types and can be used on even the most sensitive areas without causing any irritation or discomfort.
