First up, we have the ever-popular color white. You’ll see it everywhere this spring, from dresses to pants to tops and even shoes. But how do you wear white without looking like you’re about to walk down the aisle?
Here are my top three tips:
1) Choose a style that flatters your figure. If you’re pear-shaped, go for a belted tunic or an A-line dress. If you’re hourglass-shaped, try a fitted sheath dress or skinny jeans. And if you’re petite, look for cropped pants or a cap-sleeved top.
2) Accessorize with color. White looks great with just about any color, so don’t be afraid to experiment. A pop of color will also help to break up the monotony of an all-white outfit.
3) Add texture. To avoid looking too bland, mix up the textures in your outfit by pairing different fabrics together. For example, try pairing a cotton eyelet top with linen pants or a silk scarf with denim jeans.
Naturally. And what fun it is to watch the models strut their stuff on the catwalk! But, as we all know, not every look from the runway is meant to be worn in real life. That’s where I come in.
As a fashion editor, it’s my job to take what I see on the runway and edit it down into a collection of must-have items that are both wearable and stylish. So, for your viewing pleasure (and shopping convenience), I’ve gone ahead and done just that for Spring ’23.
