Lip balm is one of those products that I never thought I’d get into. But after my first tube of Burt’s Bees, I was hooked. I loved how soft and hydrated my lips felt after using it. And I loved how glossy it made my lips look (even if the shine didn’t last that long).
Now, there are so many lip balms on the market, it’s hard to know which ones are worth the money. But never fear, I’ve done the research for you! Here are three of the best lip treatments, according to me, your friendly neighborhood beauty editor:
1. First up is the Lanolips Lip Ointment. This stuff is AMAZING. It’s made with lanolin, which is a natural oil that can be found in sheep’s wool (don’t worry, it’s safe for humans to use). Lanolin is great for your skin because it’s super-moisturizing and has healing properties.
I like to use the Lip Ointment at night before bed. I just apply a generous amount to my lips and wake up with soft, plump lips. You can also use it during the day, but beware that it will make your lips look shiny (which some people might not like).
2. Next is the Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask. This one is also very moisturizing, but it has a slightly different texture than the Lanolips. The Agave Lip Mask is more of a thick balm than an ointment, so it doesn’t feel quite as heavy on your lips.
I like to use this one during the day because it provides long-lasting hydration without looking or feeling too heavy. Plus, it has a delicious vanilla smell that I can’t get enough of!
3. Well People Lip Nurture Hydrating Lip Balm
The last is Lip Nurture which is quite thick; consistency is as thick as wax, though that is not to say the formula is waxy. It effectively coats a shield on your lips with the subtle tint it lasts half a day After wearing it use two refills of Nalgene. The first dollop requires a bit of force to get it out of the tube., but practice makes perfect.
